When you look at the Products tab, you will notice the Manage Products button. This serves as our gateway to create a new product, add inventory, transfer inventory, and remove inventory. We'll focus on the latter three in this help center guide.

Let's jump into it, shall we?

Adding Inventory

A shipment has just arrived, a batch just got canned, or some beans have got bagged and we want to enter all our new inventory into OrderEZ. This is how all inventory makes its way into OrderEZ. Hit the Add Inventory selection to begin the workflow.

Warehouse

1) Select which warehouse we're adding inventory to.

2) Assign a Batch ID if applicable (we recommend you do!).

3) Assign an expiry date if applicable.

Products

1) Select the products where you're adding inventory.

2) Enter the quantity of products being added.

a) Enter product-specific Batch ID if applicable.

b) Enter product-specific expiry dates if applicable.

3) Assign the COGS for that specific inventory addition.

Locations

1) Click Add Products into the Corresponding Location

2) If they're all going into one location (or you're not really using locations or using a third-party logistics firm), hit the Place All toggle.

2b) If they're going into multiple locations, use the product drop-down to select which items are going into which location. Move on to the remaining locations until all items have been put away.

3) Hit Add Products followed by Go To Overview

Select Finish and you're done.

Pro Tip: You can select the "Download Report" toggle to receive an excel file of the inventory actions performed.

Transferring Inventory

You have your products in the bonded warehouse, but now it's time to transfer them to your fulfillment warehouse. This time around we're clicking Transfer Inventory selection to start the workflow.

Warehouse

1) Select which warehouse we're moving products from.

2) Select which warehouse we're moving products to.

3) Hit Next Step at the top right.

Products

1) Select the products (you'll also be able to pick specific batches of inventory) that we're transferring.

2) Enter the number of units being transferred.

3) Hit Next Step at the top right.

Locations

1) Click Add Products into the Corresponding Location within the warehouse.

2) If they're all going into one location, hit the Place All toggle.

2b) If they're going into multiple locations, use the product drop-down to select which items are going into which location. Move on to the remaining locations until all items have been put away.

3) Hit Add Products followed by Go To Overview

Select Finish and you're done. And remember, as with adding inventory, you can select the "Download Report" toggle to receive an excel file of the inventory actions performed.

Removing Inventory

We've covered adding, transferring, and now on to removing products from our warehouses. Let's say you've found 12 bottles from your last shipment that were broken and instead of having 36 bottles of wine, you only added 24. Let's jump through the remove inventory workflow to handle that.

Warehouse

1) Select which warehouse we're removing inventory from.

2) Hit Next Step

Products

1) Select the products to be removed from the warehouse.

2) Insert the quantity to be removed from the warehouse.

3) Hit Go To Overview

Select Finish and you're done. And remember, as with adding & transferring inventory, you can select the "Download Report" toggle to receive an excel file of the inventory actions performed.
